About cFA society colorado
In 1955 the Denver Society of Security Analysts (DSSA) was admitted to membership in The Financial Analysts Federation (FAF) --now part of CFA Institute. The DSSA was incorporated in 1968 pursuant to the Colorado Nonprofit Corporation Act. In 2005, the DSSA name was updated to the CFA Society of Colorado (CFACO).
There are over 1,400 members of CFA Society Colorado, including security analysts, portfolio managers, academicians, and other investment professionals. Over 85% of the members are Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA®), and many other members are candidates for this professional designation.
The CFA designation is an internationally recognized credential awarded to investment practitioners who pass three sequential examinations over a minimum of three years in a broad-range of investment topics including: portfolio management, ethics, equity analysis, fixed income analysis, accounting, quantitative analysis and economics. In addition to the rigorous testing, a CFA charterholder must work in the investment profession analyzing or managing investments for at least four years and must agree to abide by the CFA Institute Code of Ethics.
